The Southeast Asian Collaborative (SEA Maine) is a grassroots partnership of Southeast Asian community organizations in Maine — including Khmer Maine, the Filipino American Samahan of Maine, and emerging Lao, Vietnamese, and Thai community leaders.

Together, the Collaborative works to:

  • Build leadership within Southeast Asian communities;

  • Strengthen connections across cultures and generations; and

  • Advance civic engagement, especially around voting rights, representation, and community wellbeing.

SEA Maine grew out of the shared recognition that Southeast Asian communities — while diverse — face many of the same challenges: limited visibility, underrepresentation in decision-making, language barriers, and the lingering impacts of refugee resettlement and immigration policy.

Through shared planning, workshops, and advocacy, SEA Maine helps these communities organize together, amplify their voices, and shape the future of democracy in Maine.
